3.3.3 Influence of the type of service

The grouping of responses by department and not by occupational category shows that the responses do not differ from one service to another, for most items. Only eight items show a difference significant (0.01
<0.05), related difference in half the cases to a higher rating by one of services.
From the perspective of medical records specialist, focused on a small number of diseases, and can serve as support of clinical research trials, we wanted to know if the doctors (and non-permanent) expressed different priorities, especially regarding the protocols and statistics medical, depending on the service to which they belong. The grouping has been made in two classes:
Cardiac & Vascular Pathology one hand (three main diagnoses), Pathology and Digestive Surgery
General other (many diagnoses of respective frequencies below 6%).
The comparison shows no significant difference in the functions "medical statistics" and "management protocols "(both items, overall mean: 7.4 ± 3, 1). In fact, only three items among the 27, differ between the two services at the 5%: this is the search for marital status, history medical monitoring and additional tests (higher scores in the second group (Pathology Digestive and General Surgery).
